Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
1. Introduction
Pilora (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website at pilora.app (collectively, the “Service”).
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.
Supplement Data: When you scan supplement labels, the images are sent to our third-party AI provider to extract product and ingredient information. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including your supplement schedules, intake logs, and interaction checks.
Profile Photos: If you upload an avatar or profile photo, it is stored securely in our cloud storage.
Payment Information: Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment data; we receive only an entitlement status from RevenueCat (our subscription management service).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, including to personalize your experience and supplement schedules, send dose reminders and notifications, check for supplement interactions, process payments and manage subscriptions, and communicate with you about updates and support.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the Service (Supabase for data storage, Apple/RevenueCat for subscription management, and Resend for email). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Product image lookups in the scan flow are powered by the Brave Search API. When you scan a supplement, we send the brand and product name (no personal data) to Brave to find product photos you can choose from.
Our AI features rely on third-party AI providers. When you chat with Lora (our AI assistant), your messages and de-identified context about your supplement stack are sent to our AI provider to generate responses. When you scan a supplement label, the label image is sent to an AI provider to extract product and ingredient details. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@pilora.app.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, data portability, and the ability to opt out of marketing communications.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
