What is it
Selank is a synthetic peptide derived from the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed in Russia and proposed to have anxiolytic and nootropic effects by influencing GABAergic signaling, BDNF, and enkephalin metabolism. It is used as a medication in Russia for anxiety-related indications but is not FDA-approved in the United States and has not been validated in large independent controlled trials outside Russian-language literature. Evidence is largely preclinical and limited regional clinical use; it is not a dietary supplement and is sold in the West only 'for research use only.'
